Our Story
Formerly known as Johin Tea Merchant Ipoh in 1959 and incorporated as Johin Tea Merchant Trading Company Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 55968-H) since 1980. Johin Tea Merchant has been brewing for over 62 years and counting. Working hand-in-hand traditionally, this family tea business has grown from a retail tea trading business to a major tea manufacturing business with the establishment of tea factory and tea gallery. The Johin Tea Factory mainly operates as an entity for tea production, innovation and creations. On the other hand, the Johin Tea Gallery is located at a renovated showcase premise in central Ipoh to cater for online marketing and
sampling for its various branded tea under Johin Tea Registered Trademarks.
At Johin Tea, we brew our passion and love for traditional tea into an all new modern twist. The team at Johin Tea is thrilled and committed to take our customers towards a healthier and refreshing lifestyle.

Johin Tea Factory
Our newly established Tea Factory with a built-up area of 20,000 sq. ft. is located in Kawasan Perindustrian Pengkalan, Ipoh. The Tea Factory is well equipped with up-to-date digitalised blending and packaging machineries. The Tea Factory manufactures with three (3) main lines of productions for our branded premium tea. The tea manufacturing operations are produced with top-most hygiene and cleanliness under regulated conditions.
Our premium tea qualities of freshness and aroma are well-assured. We are regulated by the following certifications:
• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)

Johin Tea Merchant Gallery
Johin Tea Gallery is strategically and conveniently situated in the center of Ipoh City as a Tea Showcase for all Johin Tea products. The premises are renovated and refurbished with an all new touch of ambience and modernisation to provide our customers with the best tea-drinking moments. The Tea Gallery includes a serving tea-bar, valuable tea sets as well as comfortable and sleek wooden furniture for one of a kind experiences in tasting and sampling.
With our vision and mission in mind, the Johin Tea Gallery aims to serve its retail and commercial consumers with online e-commerce marketing services, prompt COD deliveries as well as friendly in-house services for enjoyment. A tea menu with its own specialities will be available for customers to order at the premise.

Halal Certified
Johin tea products are certified Halal (suitable for consumption by Muslims) by the religious authorities in Malaysia. This gives consumers of the Islamic faith across the globe the peace of mind to enjoy Johin Tea products.
Quality and Hygienic Control
Johin tea products are manufactured under quality control for standard and hygienic process.
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
This food safety certification is used to control food safety risks. HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of hazards from beginning to final manufacturing, distribution and consumption of our finished products.
