Xiang Pao is JOHIN’s Trademark Supreme Tea, better known as ‘Cha Wang / Wong’ in Chinese — equivalent to the highest grade of tea among all tea type, also considered the highest grade among all Oolong Tea types. During the revelation of the Chinese dynasties, ‘Cha Wang’ was only consumed by the rich and the noble at the supreme palace. Xiang Pao has a rich and roasted flavor to its fragrant aroma, with a strong and ever-lasting aftertaste.
Xiang Pao is best consumed during leisure hours as this supreme and high-end imperial tea is meant to be enjoyed and savoured. It is also advisable to prepare Xiang Pao in a Gung Fu Cha ceremony, so that you can experience the finest taste of this Supreme Tea. The first brew for Xiang Pao is also slightly strong, so it is best recommended to prepare Xiang Pao in a smaller tea pot where the first brew is filtered out so the second brew starts stimulating Xiang Pao’s delicacy.

Gung Fu Cha Preparations:
- Warm a small-sized teapot with hot water
- Place one packet of Xiang Pao into the Gaiwan / Teapot and add fresh boiling water
- Leave it for 1 minute to enrich the aroma and refine the taste
- Remove the first brew of Xiang Pao, brew it for the second time and leave it for 2 minutes
- Pour the freshly brewed Xiang Pao into the Tea Pitcher so an even taste for all teacups are available
- Xiang Pao is brewed and ready to be served
- Repeat the brewing steps for 3-4 times until Xiang Pao’s aroma becomes lighter
