Tie Guan Yin is one of the Chinese oolong tea categories that first came about in the 19th century. Tie Guan Yin can be roasted, aged, or even unroasted! It has a bright emerald yellow to the tea and gives you a fresh, nutty and fruity flavour.

Many people tend to oversee the various benefits that Tie Guan Yin brings to an individual’s health. As Tie Guan Yin is one of the many Oolong Tea, it contains a great amount of antioxidants that can prevent or even slow damages to our body cells. It is also a great way to lose weight by burning fat in a quicker method, reducing the body’s redundant fat and of course, flattening your waistline! Most importantly, consuming Tie Guan Yin in the long term was found by researchers to have slowed down the ageing process.

JOHIN Tea’s Tie Guan Yin is blended with one of the most aromatic tea leaves in town! The first sip you take would have your tongue craving for more afterwards!

Chinese Tea generally does not have an expiry date. Although loose tea leaves do not expire, they would lose aroma and flavor over time. Hence, it is recommended to consume Tie Guan Yin within 6 months for the finest consumption. However, do rest assured that as JOHIN Tea’s products are of good quality, our Tie Guan Yin has a shelf life of around 2 – 3 years!

Preparations:

  1. Warm the teapot with hot water
  2. Place one packet of Tie Guan Yin into the teapot and add fresh boiling water
  3. Leave it for 3 minutes to enrich the aroma and refine the taste
  4. Tie Guan Yin is brewed and ready to be served
